摘　　要：采用文献资料法等 ,对唐代马球运动流行的范围和周期问题进行分析。结论 :唐代马球运动流行于上层社会的根本原因 ,在于在当时封建经济发达的背景下 ,唯有富裕而有闲的上层社会才具备开展高标准、高消费的马球运动的经济实力。中国古代马球运动兴衰演变的过程 ,典型地体现出时尚流行的“常态曲线”规律 ,构成了一个完整的流行周期 ;其中 ,马球运动在唐代发展的过程 。The range and period of the popularity of polo in the Tang Dynasty were analyzed with contemporary social psychology. It is found that the fundamental reason why polo was just popularized in upper class society is that only those who were prosperous and unoccupied could have enough money for this kind of highly standardized and consumed sport at that time when the feudal economy was flourishing. The ups and downs of polo in ancient China is a typical display of the regular pattern of “normal curve” popularizing nowadays, and has formed a whole period of popularity. The development of polo in the Tang Dynasty represents the rising and even the most prosperous stage of this period.
