摘　　要：语言和文化的差异给翻译带来不可译的因素。文章以名著《红楼梦》的翻译为例,从语言和文化两个方面出发,选取杨宪益、戴乃迭夫妇译本与黄新渠译本,通过具体实例探讨译者们如何应对文学译本中的不可译因素,以期为其他译者在今后遇到相似情况时提供思路参考。The differences of language and culture may bring about the factors for untranslatability.This paper analyzes the translation of Hong Lou Meng from the perspective of language and culture,choosing two versions by Yang Hsien-yi and Gladys Yang,and Huang Xinqu respectively.Examples from the two versions are given to discuss how to deal with untranslatability to provide suggestions for translators when they encounter the similar situations.
