赛珍珠《龙子》的语料库检索分析

摘　　要：利用语料库软件WordSmith对赛珍珠《龙子》的语言特征及主题词进行了较为深入的量化分析。研究发现:与英国国家语料库BNC相比,《龙子》用词相对简单,易读性强;众多与农村、战争及家庭关系相关的主题词,有力地推动了故事情节向纵深发展;对主题词enemy的检索发现,赛珍珠笔下的“敌人”以不同的丑态在作品中出现,深刻地再现了日军的残暴行径。通过这些客观的数据,可以为《龙子》的解读提供更为直观的感受和体验,为赛珍珠研究提供一条新的思路。The corpus software WordSmith is applied to conduct a quantitative research of the holistic language features and functions of the keywords in Pearl S.Buck’s Dragon Seed,so as to find that:1)compared with the BNC,the language in Buck’s Dragon Seed is relatively simple and easy to understand;2)the extracted high-frequent keywords,which are closely linked with the rural life,war and family relationships,have effectively deepened the plot development and promoted the theme;3)the intensive descriptions of the frequent word“enemy”have profoundly reflected the stinking image of the Japanese invaders and their monstrous crimes in China.The research can not only provide quantitative basis for the study of Dragon Seed,but also offer a more intuitive experience for readers’appreciation of the novel,which provides a positive attempt to the stylistics research of Buck’s works.
