摘　　要：《弗朗西斯·麦康伯短促的幸福生活》的显性主题是麦康伯的恐惧及其克服恐惧的变化,但更内在的隐性主题却是麦康伯妻子玛格丽特的恐惧。专门陪同麦康伯夫妻打猎的白人猎手威尔逊事先预见到了她的不安和恐慌,同时,相对悲剧的产生而言,威尔逊与玛格丽特的关系在一定程度上具有同谋性质,他不仅是整个事态发展的参与者,还是悲剧最后完成的推动者。The dominant themes of The Short Happy life of Francis Macomber are Macomber’s wife Margaret’s fears and the change of overcoming the fears,but the underlying theme is Macomber’s wife Margaret’s fears.Wilson,the white hunter who accompanied the Macomber couple,anticipated her restlessness and fears in advance.Meanwhile,concerned with the formation of the tragedy,the relationship between Wilson and Margaret is complicit to some extent.He was not merely aparticipant in the whole development,but also the enabler of the final completion of the tragedy.
