爵士乐声中美国非裔文化置位与身份建构——评托妮·莫里森的小说《爵士乐》

摘　　要：以移动性为突出特征的全球化浪潮中产生多种形态的“文化位移”,给少数族裔和弱势群体的主体性建构和文化身份认同带来新的影响;如何进行策略性的“文化置位”,有效协商社会空间,成为构建可行身份的重要话题。托妮 莫里森以20世纪20年代哈莱姆文艺复兴为背景的小说《爵士乐》,描写了在都市化进程中遭受地理与文化位移的美国黑人移民寻找新身份的历程。小说文本中处处体现的具有即兴创作特点、挪用特征和混杂化性质的爵士乐话语和爵士乐美学,成为美国黑人在新的放逐地进行策略性“文化置位”的喻写。In the wave of globalization with mobility as one of its prominent features,various types of cultural displacement have emerged,bringing new influence to subjectivity and cultural identity formation for people of minority nationalities and other marginalized groups.Therefore,how to conduct strategic cultural emplacement to negotiate social space has become a focus of concern in the construction of new viable identities.Toni Morrison’s novel Jazz,set in the Harlem Renaissance in the 1920s,is a portrayal of African American migrants’search for a new identity amidst urbanization.The Jazz discourse and Jazz aesthetics with their improvisation,appropriation and hybridization are employed in the text to signify African Americans’cultural emplacement in the new place of exile.
