摘 要:药物的发现和开发是促进人类健康和福祉的最重要的转化科学活动之一。然而现代新药开发是一个非常复杂,昂贵且漫长的过程,西方发达国家开发一个全新药物通常平均需要12年,研发费用高达26亿美元。如何降低成本,加快新药开发,已成为行业中一个具有挑战性和迫切性的问题。随着计算机性能的不断提高,预计人工智能(AI)与新的实验技术相结合,可以更快、更便宜、更有效地寻找新药。本文讨论了药物发现过程几个重要步骤中AI的最新应用进展。The discovery and development of drugs is one of the most important transformational science activities that promote human health and well-being.However,the development of modern new drugs is a very complicated,expensive and long process.In the western developed countries,it takes an average of 12 years to develop a new drug,and the cost is as high as 2.6 billion US dollars.How to reduce costs and accelerate the development of new drugs has become a challenging and urgent issue in the industry.As computer performance continues to improve,artificial intelligence(AI)is expected to be combined with new experimental techniques to find new drugs faster,cheaper,and more efficiently.This article discusses the latest advances in AI in several important steps in the drug discovery process.
