摘 要:In this paper,the partial pole assignment problem in large symmetric quadratic pencil is considered.We propose a multi-step method for solving this problem in which the undesired eigenvalues are moved to desired values and the remaining eigenvalues are required to remain unchanged.By establishing the new connection among system matrices,undesired eigenvalues and corresponding eigenvectors,desired eigenvalues and control vectors,we transform this problem into a system of linear equations of lower order.Our method no longer needs to compute the eigenvectors corresponding to desired eigenvalues and is of particular interest in large systems where only a small part of the spectrum is to be reassigned.Numerical examples show that the proposed method is efficient.
