从语用预设角度看《使女的故事》的反乌托邦主题

摘　　要：《使女的故事》是加拿大著名女作家玛格丽特·阿特伍德最受欢迎的作品之一,与通常意义上的未来小说不同,这部作品讲述了一个已成为未来的历史故事,具有可企及性。文章运用语言学中的预设理论,以人物话语为理论分析文本,研究了语用预设在《使女的故事》中的应用,并进一步探索了语用预设在揭示小说反乌托邦主题方面的重要作用。“The Maid’s Story”is one of the most popular works of Margaret Atwood,a famous Canadian woman writer.Different from the usual future novels,it tells a historical story that has become the future and is accessible.Based on the presupposition theory in linguistics,this paper analyzes the text with character discourse as the theory,studies the application of pragmatic presupposition in the story of the maid,and further explores the important role of pragmatic presupposition in revealing the anti-Utopian theme of the novel.
