摘　　要：我们一直认为银河系像一张平滑的光盘,但天文学家最近绘制出的银河系三维地图却显示,银河系星系盘是弯曲的,厚度不一,而且距离中心越远越厚。Astronomers have created the most precise map to date of the Milky Way by tracking thousands of big pulsating stars spreading throughout the galaxy,demonstrating that,as is generally thought,its disk of various stars is not flat but dramatically warped and twisted in shape.
