摘 要:负动机已成为阻碍理工科大学生英语学习的最大障碍,消除负动机也就成为当前英语教学中的重要任务。采用问卷结合访谈对某地方性本科院校358名理工科学生英语学习负动机进行了调查,研究发现有61.8%的学生表示其英语学习出现了负动机;课程、教学方法、教材、教学设备、教学风格、学习困难、兴趣缺失、个性是负动机产生的主要因素。要消除负动机就须强化教师职业发展,培养创新性教学团队;优化课程设置,升级教学硬件;注重培养并训练学生合理归因。Negative motivation has become a stumbling block for college students of science and engineering in English learning. Thus, the removal of negative motivation has been taken as a major objective of English teaching. A survey of 358 students of science and engineering from a local university was conducted by questionnaire and interview. The result showed that 61.8% of the students had negative motivation in English learning;curriculum, teaching method, teaching materials, teaching facilities, teaching style, learning difficulties, lack of interest and personality were the main factors causing the negative motivation. To eliminate the negative motivation, it is necessary to strengthen the professional development of teachers, cultivate innovative teaching teams, optimize curriculum, upgrade teaching hardware, and pay attention to the cultivation and training of students’ reasonable attribution.
