The construction of absorptive capacity has always been a hot issue in the strategic field. This study selected the electrical manufacturing industry in South China as the research sample. After the classification of TMT heterogeneity as a regulating variable is introduced into enterprise absorptive capacity and innovation performance relationship, the results show that the construction strategy of absorptive capacity will be restricted by the heterogeneity of executive team. When there is a big difference in the surface characteristics of the executive team, the relationship between the construction effect of absorptive capacity and innovation performance will be inhibited;the relationship between absorptive capacity and innovation performance will be strengthened when there is a big difference in the depth characteristics of senior management team.According to the research findings,it is suggested that, when an enterprise is promoting the construction strategy of absorptive capacity, the high-surface heterogeneous team should recruit or promote new members of the senior management team to ensure the implementation effect of the strategy, and the high-depth heterogeneous team should refine and innovate the roles performed by the existing senior management team to improve the implementation effect of the strategy.
