TEM8写作测试文本的语篇特征与写作质量的关系研究

摘　　要：本文运用二语句法复杂度分析器和Coh-Metrix软件,对TEM8写作测试文本的语篇特征和写作质量之间的关系进行了研究。研究发现:写作长度、句法单位长度、句法并列关系程度、特殊结构使用、基于附加连接词的连贯性、语篇的因果性等语篇特征和写作质量存在显著正相关;而基于共指的连贯性、基于时序连接词使用的连贯性、语篇的意图性等语篇特征和写作质量存在显著负相关。写作字数(W)、复杂名词结构数量与子句数量之比(CN/C)、因果性副词和因果性动词比率(SMCAUSr)、所有句子间实词重叠的平均数(CRFCWOa)四个变量具有很好的预测作用,它们可解释写作成绩55.7%的方差。本研究为TEM8写作测试的效度提供了基于文本的证据,深化了对于该项写作测试所测写作能力和评分量表描述语有效性的认识。This paper studies the relationship between text features and the writing quality of writing samples in the TEM8 writing task, using the Syntactic Complexity Analyzer and Coh-Metrix automated tool. The results show that the writing quality correlates positively with discourse fluency, average length of grammatical units, grammatical complexity in terms of coordination and particular structures, coherence in terms of additive connectives, and discourse causality, meanwhile, the writing quality correlates negatively with the coherence in terms of referential cohesion, coherence in terms of temporal connectives, and discourse intentionality. Regression analysis shows that the four indices, namely, W, CN/C, SMCAUSr and CRFCWOa account for 55.7% of the variance of writing scores. These results provide useful evidence for the validity of TEM8 writing test and deepen our understanding of the writing ability to be tested and the legitimacy of descriptors in rating scales.
