摘　　要：斯蒂芬·克莱恩的《海上扁舟》蕴含典型的自然主义思想以及对于人、自然与命运之间关系的哲理性思考。分析人与自然的冲突可以看出人类与大自然力量的巨大差异以及人类在大自然面前的渺小和脆弱。大自然的冷漠与无情反映出人类无论如何抗争也无法超越大自然的支配力量。命运总是充满偶然性,让人捉摸不透,无法掌控。因此,只有正视人与自然的关系,人类才能与自然和谐共存,才能真正掌握自己的命运。Stephen Crane’s The Open Boat contains typical thoughts of Naturalism and philosophical reflections on the relationship among man,nature and destiny.By analyzing the conflict between man and nature,we can see the great difference between man and nature,and the insignificance and fragility of man in front of nature.The indifference and ruthlessness of nature reflect human beings can not surpass the dominant force of nature in any way.The fate is always full of contingency,which is unpredictable and uncontrollable.Therefore,only by having the right attitude towards the relationship between man and nature,can man live in harmony with nature and truly master his own destiny.
