登特-杨父子译《水浒传》中帽、抹额和幞头的翻译研究

摘　　要：登特-杨父子译《水浒传》(The Marshes of Mount Liang)自1994年连续出版以来,引起了社会的强烈反响。从登特-杨父子译《水浒传》头饰中的帽、抹额和幞头的翻译入手,分析和探讨登特-杨父子的译文在展现原文服饰文化上的得与失。发现登特-杨父子的译文行文流畅,通俗易懂,语言幽默诙谐,但从展现原著服饰文化的层面来看,登译《水浒传》有许多不足之处,存在多处因对文章理解错误而误译的现象。从目的论的角度来看,登特-杨父子的翻译策略受其翻译目的影响。Shui Hu Zhuan(English translation:The Marshes of Mount Liang)has caused a great sensation in the whole country since its publication in 1994.This paper carries out a comprehensive study on the translation of Mao,Futou and Mo'e in Shui Hu Zhuan.Then it analyzes the merits and demerits of the translation on the representation of apparel and accessory culture from the original book.The results show that John and Alex Dent-Young well translated it with equal fluency and sensible humor in the English language.However,in terms of culture,there appears to be a lot of mistranslations due to the misunderstanding of the original culture connotation.From the perspective of Skopos Theory,Dent-Youngs'translation strategy is heavily influenced by their translation purpose.
