摘　　要：文章以表量结构a+N1+of+N2中名量之间的隐喻相似性为基础,借用映射关系图示,考察英语表量结构中隐喻组合的构建机制。首先,基于施喻者认知加工的程度深浅,隐喻相似性分为两大类:客观相似性和心理相似性。其次,英语表量结构的隐喻式组合还蕴含动态与静态意象模式的区分,它影响了隐喻的建构方式--直接隐喻与间接隐喻。Grounded on the mapping theory and metaphorical similarity,this paper is intended to investigate metaphorical construction mechanisms of English quantity classifier,especially"a+N1+of+N2".Two points are observed.Firstly,based on the essence of metaphorical similarity,types and cognitive ingredients,the addresser processes the cognitive metaphor on"a+N1+of+N2"to different degrees.Therefore,metaphorical similarity can be divided into two categories:objective similarity and psychological similarity.Secondly,English quantity classifiers are also characterized into the static image mode and the dynamic image mode.As a result,its modes of metaphorical construction mechanism can be divided into direct metaphor and indirect metaphor.
