摘　　要：文学是一个国家精神的旗舰,文学奖是旗舰的领航。为摆脱英国文学的枷锁,打造具有澳大利亚特色的民族文学,著名女作家迈尔斯·富兰克林用遗产设置了迈尔斯·富兰克林文学奖。62年以来,作为澳大利亚文学最权威、最有价值的奖项,为澳大利亚文学的蓬勃发展做出了突出贡献,同时成为澳大利亚文学研究的热点。本文围绕迈奖颁奖以来学界的研究状况,探讨迈奖评审为谁服务的问题。通过对民族主义批评、新民族主义批评和全球化语境下的后现代批评三个阵营的研究,揭示了迈奖助推澳大利亚文学追求独立的民族意识、谋求平等的国家共同体意识和获得国际认可提振国家自信的价值和意义。Literature is the flagship of a nation's spirituality,for which a literary prize is the pilot.The Miles Franklin Literary Award was initiated by the famous woman writer Miles Franklin with her own bequest in order to build independent national literature by freeing Australian culture from the control of the British Empire.For more than 60 years,it has developed into the most prestigious award and contributed greatly to the prosperity of Australian literature,at the same time,it has always been the hot topic among critics.With analysis on the former studies of the Miles Franklin Award,this paper tries to explore for whom the Award serves.By studies on the three camps of national criticism,the neo-national criticism and postmodernist criticism,it reveals the value and significance of the Miles Franklin Award in boosting Australian literature with the independent national consciousness,the equality of National community consciousness and the international recognition for the nation's confidence.
