摘　　要：鲁迅的《狂人日记》和斯威夫特的《一个温和的建议》有异曲同工之妙。从创作主题、人物塑造及语言风格对这两部小说进行对比研究,两部作品都借助特殊人物之口陈述观点,借用生命主题启发人民进行反殖民斗争,且语言风格都荒唐怪诞,符合所塑造人物的身份。Luxun’s representative work,A Madman’s Diary and A Modest Proposal written by Swift have achieved the equally satisfactory results by different approaches.The paper makes a comparative research of the two works in terms of the theme,the characterization and the language style.Both works use the theme of life to lead the people to carry on the anti-colonial struggle and employ the mouths of special characters to state views.Furthermore,the language styles are in line with their respective character identities.
