摘　　要：由于国内外译者的共同努力,《阅微草堂笔记》目前已经历至少20次英译。自19世纪末以来,《阅微草堂笔记》的各种零散译文及节译本呈现出从简单到深入的趋势。从提取故事的宗教寓意、聚焦志怪以满足读者的狐鬼幻想,再到展现故事背后的社会风貌,译者的解读逐渐靠近纪昀著书的本意,翻译的方式也从改写情节迁就本国读者逐渐变为呈现文本的原有风格。其中金大逸和卜立德的译本对拓宽《阅微草堂笔记》的接受起着重要作用。西方汉学界在一定程度上肯定了《阅微草堂笔记》的文学、史料价值,对它的英译和研究从未停止,促进了笔记这一独特文学体裁在英语世界的接受。Attributed to the translators from China and abroad, Yuewei Caotang Biji has had been translated 20 times since the late 19 th century. Since the end of the 19 th century, the scattered translations and selections of this jotting collection have demonstrated a trend that goes from a single theme to an increasing diversity. Meanwhile, it carefully examines the motives of translators and the features of the translations. When it comes to explore the trend of its translation, it finds that the translators’ focus gradually changes from capturing the religious meaning of the stories, fulfilling readers’ fantasy of foxes and ghosts, to revealing the landscape of the society. Their reading of Biji comes closer to the real intention of Ji Yun, which also helps them amend their translation methods from modifying the plot to presenting the original textual style. Among those translators, Keenan and Pollard have made a good effort in widening the acceptance of Biji. The western sinology field to some extent admits the literary and historical value of Biji, and the never-stopping translation activities and studies contribute to its acceptance in the English-speaking world.
