摘　　要：应用技术大学率先诞生于20世纪60年代末70年代初的欧洲,作为一种新兴新型高校,其办学定位、人才培养目标、培养模式等方面都与传统综合性大学不同,其目的是培养能够满足地方经济社会发展需求的高层次应用技术型人才,它的出现是经济社会的快速发展而生的产业结构的转型升级,高等教育大众化理念以及完善现代职业教育体系等因素综合作用的结果。本文对经济社会发展与应用型高校建设的关系做了探讨。The universities of applied sciences were born in Europe in the late 1960 s and early 1970 s. As a new type of university, it is different from the traditional comprehensive university in its school-running orientation, talent-developing goal and mode of development. Its purpose is to develop high level applied technical talents who can meet the needs of local economic and social development. Its emergence is the result of the transformation and upgrading of industrial structure resulting from the rapid development of economy and society, the popularization of higher education and the improvement of modern vocational education system. This paper discusses the relationship between economic and social development and the construction of application-oriented universities.
