摘　　要：I am the director of marketing and communicationsof AmCham China, a non-profit and nongovernmentalorganization with a membership of4,000 individuals from 900 American companiesoperating across China. Recently, we released theresults of several surveys, including one that evaluatesthe impact of the COVID-19 outbreak on ourmember companies. We are happy to see that ChinaToday has joined the online press conference on theoccasion which Alan Beebe – president of AmChamChina – shared his own views on the results andanswered questions from the participating mediaoutlets. The report then came out with the title of“Why Foreign Investors Choose to Stay in China?” Itis an impressive one referencing specific examples ofsome foreign companies, which have restarted workin China, and also quotes the data from the survey.Based on our surveys, China remains a top longtermpriority for most American companies, despiteslowing growth, wider U.S.-China tensions, and theCOVID-19 outbreak. It is our hope that the resultswill spark open and candid dialogue between bothcountries as we continue to advocate for a fair andopen business environment and new momentum todrive such economic reform measures that will benefitAmerican companies here as well as the broaderChinese economy.
