摘　　要：翻译是跨文化交际的方式,文化“他者”涉及译者对源语言文化的诠释行为,译者用自身文化去诠释其它文化,与译入语形成话语体系的对照,使译文产生陌生感。以自我文化为中心,会产生文化“他者”的形象,要么排斥,要么盲目崇拜,体现文化之间二元对立的思想,文化“他者”是一种负面语义效果。而从文化交流的角度上,翻译是创造性思维活动,译者诠释行为体现译者主体,译者以自身文化诠释源语言文化,翻译是文本在另一种语言中存在方式。从认知上,这种诠释行为在译文语义内容上体现两种文化的融合,而不是文化之间的二元对立,这是对文化“他者”的解构。翻译行为中,译者诠释体现为“归化”或是“异化”的翻译策略,对文化“他者”的解构对翻译教学有启示意义。Translation activity occurs in the cross-culture communication,and the translator does the interpretation,in which the interpreted culture is the target culture,and the interpreting culture is the speaker's own culture.It is the different ideology as a cultural fact behind discourse that makes the translated version strange for the reader.Egoism is characteristic of a self-centered mentality.Subsequently,the cultural difference is depicted in dichotomy,and in dualistic antithesis.Furthermore,the negative outcome is that it attaches profane to other cultures.Regarding to the cross-cultural communication,cultural"othering"is a frequently mentioned issue.This paper criticizes the stereotypical cultural"othering"and argues that it is deconstructed in the translation process.Cognitively,translation is about cultural emergence rather than cultural representation.In translation,a text prolongs its life in another language,and in the translated version the two cultures converge rather than conflict,for the translator interprets a different culture with his own culture.Translation is a means of communication in which the semiotic activity takes the translator as its subject.The cultural peculiarity is an issue always there to be addressed by the translator,and translation is a way of deconstruction of the cultural"othering".Pedagogically,there is the selective adaption of strategies by the translator,and both foreignization and domestication are to be probably employed to convey the cultural connotation.
