摘  要:博尔赫斯从《红楼梦》中选译了"宝玉之梦"和"风月宝鉴"两个片段,并将其编入《幻想文学作品选》(Antología de la literatura fantástica,1940)和 《苗生》(El invitado tigre,1985)中.其中,"宝玉之梦"片段并非如前人所言出自《红楼梦》第五回,而是出自第五十六回.这一片段参照的是1929年王际真版《红楼梦》(Dream of the Red Chamber)译本序言中阿瑟·韦利的译文.博尔赫斯对《红楼梦》的选译和对"宝玉之梦"片段的改写式翻译,不仅和博尔赫斯个人对奇幻文学的偏好有关,还与西班牙语拉美文化的多元性、边缘性以及以欧洲文化为主体的文化构成有着深层的联系.This study corrects the mistakes in previous introductions about Jorge Luis Borges’s translation of Honglou Meng.It further reveals that Borges translated two excerpts of Honglou Meng,namely“The Dream of Bao-yu”and“The Mirror to Wind-and-moon”into Spanish and published them in Anthology of Fantastic Literature(Antología de la literatura fantástica,1940)and The Tiger Guest(El invitado tigre,1985).The excerpt“The Dream of Bao-yu”was translated from Chapter 56 rather than Chapter 5.Borges’s Spanish version of this excerpt was translated from Arthur David Waley’s English version,which was part of the prologue he wrote for Dream of the Red Chamber(1929)translated by Chi-Chen Wang.Borges’s selected translation of Honglou Meng and his paraphrase of“The Dream of Bao-yu”are not only related to his personal preference for fantasy literature,but also deeply related to the pluralistic and marginal nature of Spanish-Speaking Latin American culture and the cultural composition of European culture as the main body.
