论五四小说中的转述语及其现代意义

摘　　要：五四小说在转述形式上突破了古代白话小说的叙述格局,主要有四种形态:一是多种样态的直接引语,二是间接引语,三是自由直接引语,四是自由间接引语。五四小说中的转述语明显具有对话性质,它们频繁发生在人物内心、人物之间,以及人物和叙述者之间,是现代人自我意识的真实呈现。五四小说的转述语中潜在包含着他人言语,它们之间交错对话,展现出杂语特色。现代主体在认知结构上的不足经由转述语呈现出来,这种不依靠奇妙情节产生的反讽修辞,有某种结构上的意义,更具现代性色彩。The May-4th novels broke through the narrative pattern of the ancient vernacular novels in the form of reporting.There are mainly four forms:direct speech,indirect speech,free direct speech and free indirect speech.The reported speeches in the May-4th novels are obviously conversational in nature.They frequently occur in the inner world of the characters,among the characters,or between the characters and the narrators.They are the true representation of modern people′s self-consciousness.The reported speeches in the May-4th novels potentially contain speeches of other people with interlaced dialogues,which display the miscellaneous language characteristic.The deficiency of the modern subject in the cognitive structure is presented through the reported speech.This kind of ironic rhetoric which does not depend on the wonderful plot has some structural significance and has a more modern color.
