摘　　要：Based on Lawrence Kohlberg’s theory of the stages of moral development,this paper studies the evolution of Nick’s moral values,and further makes an in-depth and systematic analysis of the factors affecting Nick’s moral view,including the early,middle and late stages of moral growth.Therefore the paper reveals how an ignorant and inexperienced young man became mature and wise after his journey to the east,and gained a deeper understanding of the complexity of human nature and social life.
