摘 要:我国公共图书馆儿童阅读服务起源于清末民初的新式教育。五四前后,在新文化运动和新图书馆运动的交相发展中,"儿童的发现"、儿童读物的开发和儿童图书馆建设的深入讨论、相关社会组织的呼吁及政府的立法,为20世纪30年代公共图书馆普遍开展儿童阅读服务创造了条件。这一时期的公共图书馆儿童阅读服务对儿童教育产生了积极的影响,但地区发展的不平衡显示了其历史局限性。Children’s reading service of public libraries in China originated from the new education during the late Qing Dynasty and the early Republic of China.Before and after the May 4th Movement,with the development of the New Culture Movement and the New Library Movement,the in-depth discussion on the“discovery of children”,development of children’s books and construction of children’s libraries,the appeals of relevant social organizations and the legislation of governments prepared the conditions for the widespread development of children’s reading services in public libraries in the 1930s.The children’s reading service of public libraries in this period had a positive impact on children’s education,but the imbalance of regional development showed its historical limitations.
