Bamboo leaf flavonoid extracts have attracted wide attention due to their good biological activities, such as antioxidation, antibacterial, anti-inflammatory and anti-cardiovascular diseases, and so on. However, there are rare studies of the effects of bamboo leaf flavonoids extracts on interfering oxidative stress induced by high-fat diet, and it is necessary to explore the related studies. In this study, HepG2 cells were induced by oleic acid to establish an oxidative stress damage cell model to present the protection effect of bamboo leaf flavonoid. It was concluded that bamboo leaf flavonoid extracts can effectively reduce the levels of triglycerides(37%), lactic acid dehydrogenase(34%), malondialdehyde(49%) and ROS(32%) to alleviate oxidative damage induced by oleic acid in HepG2 cells, indicating that bamboo leaf flavonoid extracts presented a positive intervention on high-fat-induced cell damage.
