华兹华斯诗歌理念阐析

摘　　要：18世纪末期,法国大革命爆发,革命思潮席卷欧洲,曾经风行英伦的新古典主义诗歌远远落后于时代的步伐,失去了生机与活力。在此时代背景下,华兹华斯提出了独具一格的诗歌理念,并运用这一理念创作了无数诗篇。华兹华斯的诗歌理念涵盖三个方面:想象与创作、语言、主旨。想象与创作是一个过程的两个层次,两者相互关联、密不可分,想象与创作同步进行。在语言方面,华兹华斯强调使用明白晓畅的寻常语言。至于主旨,华兹华斯主张以满腔的激情与深邃的思维描写和歌颂大自然,日月星辰、山川河流、花草树木、鸟兽虫鱼,以及生活在大自然中的普通人们皆是诗人描写和歌颂的对象。华兹华斯的绝大多数诗篇都是洋溢着浓郁美学意韵与深厚人文关怀的大自然之歌,诗人因此而获得了“大自然的诗人”之美誉。With the outbreak of the French Revolution by the end of 18th century,a trend of revolutionary thought soon spread all over Europe.As the classicism then prevailing in English poetry lagged far behind the steps of the times,Wordsworth presented a new conception of poetry and under the guidance of this conception wrote numerous poems.The poetic conception of Wordsworth covers three points:imagination and creation,language,and motif.Imagination and creation are two phases of a single course,closely interrelated in an inseparable unit,proceeding and operating simultaneously.As for the language to be used in poetry,Wordsworth follows the clear natural way of the common people of England.His motif of the poetry is to depict and eulogize the beauty of nature,such as mountains,rivers,flowers,trees,birds,etc.,and the ordinary people living in the world of nature.The great majority of Wordsworth’s poetry is imbued with aesthetic values and humanistic concerns of the natural world;hence Wordsworth is well known in the world as the poet of nature.
