Hepatoma-derived growth factor(HDGF)is a unique and multifunctional protein that can be used as a potential target for growth, angiogenesis and anti-apoptotic factors and anti-cancer therapy, and participates in the development and progression of various malignant diseases.Because HDGF is closely related to the growth and progression of many malignant tumors,it can be used as a potential marker for the progression of cancer patients. The expression level of this gene can be used as an independent prognostic factor for predicting disease-free survival and overall survival in patients with various malignancies, including gliomas. This article outlines the characteristics of HDGF and describes the potential role of HDGF as a glioma angiogenesis factor, which provides evidence and reference for the accurate diagnosis and treatment of clinical gliomas and as a prognostic marker.
