摘  要:高职高专学生入学时英语基础相对较差,使得高职高专英语教学面临多方面的困难。该文基于对期望理论和高职高专英语教学现状的简要介绍,分析了当前教学中遇到的问题及其成因,探讨了如何根据期望理论的基本原理以及学生的特点与学习需求确立合理的学习目标,优化教学评价机制和激励策略,以期提高高职高专学生的英语学习效率。Due to the relatively poor English foundation of the students when they enter the college, the English teaching of higher vocational colleges is faced with many difficulties. Based on a brief introduction of the expectation theory and the English teaching situation of higher vocational college students, this paper analyzed the problems encountered in the current teaching and their causes, probed into how to establish reasonable learning objectives and optimize the teaching evaluation mechanism and incentive strategies according to the basic principle of the expectation theory and the characteristics and learning needs of students, in order to improve the English learning efficiency of higher vocational college students.
