摘　　要：自行政学诞生以来,历史研究在公共行政学一直处于式微的地位。由于历史意识的贫困,公共行政研究被限制在现代性生成后的时间范围里,致使技术理性和专业主义占据支配地位,问题导向的说明性研究大行其道,"前威尔逊时期"的行政历史几乎无人问津。近年来,伴随着历史意识在公共行政领域的觉醒,部分前沿的行政学者致力于反思现代性叙事的不足,积极拓展公共行政的历史纵深,为学科找寻更为深厚的历史根基。对于身处日益深重的"现代性危机"和"身份危机"的公共行政学而言,学科历史源起的探讨无疑具有重要的启示意义。而对拥有悠久行政历史的中国而言,历史研究也能够为行政学本土化提供重要的理论资源。From the foundation of public administration,the historical approach always stands in a marginal position.Due to the poorness of historical conscious and the missing of historical perspective,the study of public administration always focuses on the modern era,leading to the dominance of technical rationality.Researchers seldom care about the historical narrative.In recent years,with the awareness of historical consciousness,some scholars began to rethink the weaknesses of orthodox administrative narrative,by which to brought the historical study back in.The study of administrative history not only has inspiration to the subject of public administration in deep identity crisis and legitimacy crisis,but also has great enlightenment in the Chinese academia.
