莎剧《亨利六世·上篇》中的贞德:“国族”建构与“他者”形象

摘　　要：贞德是《亨利六世·上篇》的重要角色,是一个在新教伦理意义下英吉利民族史诗中出现的“他者”形象。莎士比亚对她的塑造,相比于历史上的真实形象,表现出明显的二重性:一方面,作为英吉利民族的敌人与被旧天主教“规约”的“妖女”,贞德在莎剧中毫无疑问是狡猾诡诈、花言巧语且“不敬基督”的;另一方面,作为英吉利民族形象的“隐射”与人文主义兴起背景下的女性,贞德又具有爱国主义情怀和浓郁的女性自我意识。这样的二重性,深刻反映了这一时期英吉利民族“在上帝与恺撒”之间的摇摆挣扎。这一研究有助于深化对文艺复兴时期欧洲民族国家观念的认识,并助推莎剧中贞德人物研究的细节化。Jeanne is a vital role in The First Part of King Henry V.As a mirror of"the other"in the English national epic from the perspective of the Protestant Ethic,she is characterized by Shakespeare in a striking duality.On one hand,as an enemy of the English nation and"evil spirit"defined in the ancient Catholics,Jeanne is cunning,deceptive,and"disrespectful of Christ".On the other hand,as a"reflection"of the English national image and women in the age of the rising humanism,Jeanne holds patriotism and femininity.This duality shows well the hesitation in a struggle of the English nation amid"God and Caesar"during this period.The present paper may help deepen the understanding of the concept of European"nation-state"in the Renaissance and promote a study of Jeanne more intensive and comprehensive in Shakespeare's playwriting.
