摘　　要：DUBBED a“paradise on earth”for its picturesque West Lake,Hangzhou in east China’s Zhejiang Province is also known as a business center and culinary hub.Historically,it was the capital of the Southern Song Dynasty(1127-1279),when numerous literati residing there helped create a unique charm of the Hangzhou cuisine featuring the combination of culinary essence from north and south China.
