西门庆补说——在情感、家庭生活中解读西门庆

摘　　要：《金瓶梅》一向被目为“色书”,西门庆一向被视为“淫棍”,虽然文学批评发展到今天,对《金瓶梅》所写淫恶之事,大家已经不太敏感,但总的印象还是没有变。其实西门庆在《金瓶梅》所描述的琐屑生活中,还是表现出了人伦审美和社会伦理价值正取向的。他对妻妾、对相交女子的用情,亦有真性情存在,不能一笔抹杀;他对家族、个人事业的拼搏和维系,不能因其发家手段之恶就忽视了其对家庭强烈的责任心、沉重的使命感。总之,在情感、家庭生活中解读西门庆,有利于我们更好地了解典型形象的多面性,进而更准确地理解《金瓶梅》。Jin Ping Mei(The Plum in the Golden Vase or The Golden Lotus)has always been regarded as a pornographic book,and Ximen Qing has always been regarded as“lascivious.”Although literary criticism has developed,everyone is no longer very sensitive to the obscenity described in the book,the general impression remains unchanged.In fact,in the trivial life described in Jin Ping Mei,Ximen Qing still shows the positive orientation in human relation aesthetics and social ethic values.His affection for his wife,concubines and associated women also has true temperament,which cannot be erased in one stroke.He worked hard for his family and career,which should not be ignored just because of his evil means of making a fortune.In a word,reading Ximen Qing in his emotion and family life helps us better understand the multifaceted nature of this typical image,and then understand the novel Jin Ping Mei.
