摘　　要：中国现代旅游教育肇始于20世纪70年代末,现已形成相对独立的学科体系。回顾和总结旅游学术研究的发展历史能够“以史励今”,为现代旅游学科的发展提供借鉴和启示。文章基于口述史研究法与文献研究法,对新中国第一代旅游教育的躬耕者和现代旅游学术研究的先行者之一———刘德谦的学术成长历程进行了分析。通过研究可以发现,刘德谦的学术成长历程可划分为初识旅游(20世纪50年代初—70年代)、讲授旅游(20世纪70—90年代)、刊辑旅游(20世纪80年代至今)、研究旅游(20世纪80年代至今)等4个阶段。他的学术成长历程和个人学术偏好的转徙,是中国旅游教育和学科发展的缩影,从中可以进一步管窥出中国第一代旅游学人的成长路径,并为未来旅游人才培养与旅游学术共同体构建提供有益启示。China saw an advancement in academic research on tourism with the birth of tourism education in the 1970s.Over the course of more than 40 years,China’s tourism research has gradually defined its own independent research subjects and developed a clear and solid fundamental theoretical system.This study was carried out through two methods:an oral history based on in-depth interviews,and literature analysis.Through oral history and literature analysis,this article examines the progression of Liu Deqian’s academic work on tourism,in an attempt to document the most vivid individual memory of the historical evolution of tourism research in China.Mr.Liu is the leading authority on the development of tourism research in China.This study divides Liu Deqian’s academic history into four stages:beginning stage(early 1950s-1970s),teaching stage(1970s-90s),publishing work on tourism stage(1980s-present),and researching stage(1980s-present).Liu Deqian’s fascination with tourism stemmed from his love for hiking in elementary school as well as reading books such as China Traveler and Traveler in middle school.These hobbies sparked his interest in the field and led him to pursue tourism research.He studied linguistics and cultural history at Nankai University from 1957 to 1962 and subsequently began conducting research on tourism history and tourism literature.In 1982,he was transferred to the Branch of Beijing International Studies University(Subsequently,this Branch was renamed Tourism College of Beijing Union University)to teach,was also invited to serve as a visiting professor in other colleges and universities,and as a doctoral supervisor.He gave numerous speeches at national academic conferences and devoted himself to tourism.In terms of written work,he has contributed to various tourism publications since the 1980s,which include the Tourism Tribune,the Green Book of China’s Tourism,and the Green Book of China’s Leisure.Notably,he was involved in the inception and growth of the Tourism Tribune as its executive de
