摘　　要：本刊主编王明旭教授和副主编范瑞平教授在去年同美国著名生命伦理学家丘卓斯(James Childress)教授交流的基础上,对于生命伦理学流行的四原则(即尊重自主原则、不伤害原则、有利原则、公正原则)进行了进一步书面对话。对话探讨了以四原则为中心的共同道德理论的来源为何、如何解决具体道德理论之间的分歧、共同道德理论是否只是一种生命伦理学方法论,以及规范性学科与科学性学科(或专业)对于生命伦理学研究来说是否同等重要等问题。This article covers further discussion on the four principles of biomedical ethics(namely,the principles of respect for personal autonomy,beneficence,nonmaleficence,and justice).The authors have discussed the following issues:what is the source of the common morality theory centered on the four principles?Is it possible to resolve controversies among particular moralities in terms of the common morality theory?Can the common morality theory be taken as a bioethical methodology rather than a substantive normative theory?And in comparison with normative disciplines(such as philosophy,theology and political theory),are scientific subjects and health professions similarly important to the study of bioethics?
