林纾与林语堂的翻译意识形态研究

摘　　要：闽籍翻译家林纾和林语堂分别以文化及文明的“引入者”和“输出者”角色,在中外文化交流和文明互鉴中作出了积极贡献。内忧外患的历史背景促使林纾翻译醒民救国思想意识的形成,他大量译介外国小说,引入西方文化,以唤醒国人维新图强,对当时的中国社会、文化和女性启蒙产生积极的影响。特殊而复杂的人生经历和动荡的历史背景促使林语堂的民族精神的升华,他坚持以“闲适”“性灵”“幽默”的风格,传播中国古代文明和古老的智慧,在西方国家产生积极的社会反拨效应。为此,探析两位翻译家的意识形态及其作用,对践行习近平总书记倡导的“推动中外文明交流互鉴,促进人类社会和平发展”的理念,具有积极借鉴意义。Both Lin Shu and Lin Yutang both were famous translators from Fujian province.They had made a great contribution to cultural exchanges and mutual learning between China and foreign countries.Lin Shu played a role of an"importer"of foreign languages and cultures,and Lin Yutang acted as an"exporter"of Chinese traditional culture and civilization at that time.China’s internal and external troubles prompted Lin Shu to translate and introduce western culture and civilization,in hope of awakening the Chinese people to reform and build a stronger country,which had a positive impact on Chinese society,culture and female enlightenment at that time.Special and rich life experiences,and the national distress drove Lin Yutang’s national spirit to sublimate painfully and greatly.He persisted in spreading ancient civilization and wisdom of China to western readers,which aroused wide response in overseas literary world,and exerted a positive influence on the western society.Therefore,a study on the translational ideology and its functions of Lin Shu and Lin Yutang's is of great significance for fulfillment of Xi Jinping'initiative of"promoting cultural exchanges and mutual learning between China and foreign countries,and facilitating peaceful development of human society in the world".
