汉英词典儒学词的例证研究——现状描述与功能分析

摘　　要：儒学词是中国文化词的精髓,而例证是译义的延伸,服务于用户的理解和产出需求。因此,基于例证结构研究汉英词典的儒学词极具理论和现实意义。本文通过分层抽样和对比,基于例证的认知功能和交际功能,分析了八部汉英词典儒学词的例证功能特征。结果表明:汉英词典儒学词例证配置数量少,依存性强,简化了语言认知和交际功能;对比显示,汉英词典儒学词例证功能不断弱化,其文化认知和交际功能不断虚化,系统性不强。此外,抽样显示部分例证映射不系统,关联性、能产性不足,影响了儒学词的交际功能。对汉英词典儒学词的研究有利于分析例证的现状结构和功能特征,为提高汉英词典编纂质量提供理论支撑和现实依据。Confucian words are the essence of Chinese culture-bound words while examples illuminate the definition and serve the user’s receptive and productive need.Therefore,it’s theoretically and practically significant to conduct a research about the exemplification of Confucian words in C-E dictionaries.After stratified sampling and comparative analysis,the present study analyzes the exemplification feature of Confucian word in 8 C-E dictionaries synchronically and diachronically based on the cognitive and communicative function.The results indicate that Confucian words are short of examples and highly dependent on Contemporary Chinese Dictionary which in turn greatly simplifies their cognition and communication.The comparative analysis shows that the examples of Confucian words have been weakened and their functions become shadowed and unsystematic.Furthermore,some examples are reflected unsystematically and irrelevantly and this will affect the communication of Confucian words.The present study about Confucian words helps analyze their status and function so as to improve the compilation of C-E dictionaries.
