学界与救荒--1920年燕京大学师生参与华北灾荒救济述评

摘　　要：1920年华北发生特大旱灾,社会各界积极参与救灾活动。燕京大学师生在募集赈款、查灾放赈、收容教育灾童等方面做了一系列工作,彰显了学界参与救灾的力量。燕京大学在赈灾活动中的突出表现,既是五四运动以来燕京大学关注社会、服务社会的延续,也与社会各界对赈灾活动的支持密不可分。赈灾活动推动了燕京大学走向融合发展,形成了服务社会的办学特色。In 1920,an extraordinary drought occurred in North China.All sectors of society actively participated in disaster relief activities.The teachers and students of Yenching University have done a series of work in fund-raising,disaster investigation,accommodating and educating children in disaster areas.These activities demonstrated the power of the academic community to participate in disaster relief.The outstanding performance of Yenching University in disaster relief activities is not only the continuation of Yenching University’s concern and service to society since the May Fourth Movement,but is also closely related to the support of all sectors of society for disaster relief activities.The disaster relief activities promoted the integration and development of Yenching University and formed the school-running characteristics of serving the society.
