摘  要:萧伯纳在戏剧《魔鬼的门徒》中遵循关涉伦理道德的基本主线,以情节剧的形式表现了严肃剧的思想内涵。剧中的人物、情节、故事背景等都折射出萧伯纳对维多利亚时代清教主义与社会现实的关注。剧中人物的行为表现凸显了萧伯纳对宗教伦理的深刻思考,而人物身份的转变则是萧伯纳探索清教主义新的时代意义的精巧设计。曲折的情节、基于历史题材的背景则显示了萧伯纳对职业伦理、政治伦理和家庭婚姻伦理的多维度关注以及对新的伦理关系的渴望。这部写给清教徒的剧本不仅传达了萧伯纳对宗教伦理的考量,也蕴含了剧作家对现实生活的道德关怀。In the play The Devil's Disciple,morality and ethics are still the kernels,and George Bernard Shaw expresses the thoughts and connotations of serious drama in the form of a melodrama.The actors,plots and historical background all reflect Shaw’s concerns on Puritanism and the reality in Victorian era.In this drama,actors’behavior highlights that Bernard Shaw ruminates on religious ethics,and the transformation of identities is his innovation to explore the new significance of Puritanism.The plot twists and historical background demonstrate his multidimensional attention on professional ethics,political ethics,family and marriage ethics and his desire for new ethical relationships among people.In short,this drama for Puritans not only conveys Shaw's consideration of religious ethics,but also hints at his concerns on social morality.
