嘉木样协巴与西藏经院教育制度

摘  要:嘉木样协巴,即第一世嘉木样活佛创建了格鲁派六大寺庙之一拉卜楞寺,被清朝康熙皇帝加封为“护法禅师班智达额尔尼诺门罕”称号,开创了拉卜楞寺嘉木样活佛世系。嘉木样协巴在哲蚌寺从普通僧人成为钻研五部大论,学富五车、著作等身的一代宗师。他对西藏寺院教育的课程和班级设置、辩论规则、学位授予等方面进行了新的探索,为西藏经院教育发展做出了重要贡献。文章阐述嘉木样协巴精益求精的求学精神以及他对经院教育制度的体系化和规范化建设做出的贡献,并对嘉木样协巴学说后期为何成为哲蚌寺郭芒扎仓和拉卜楞寺的经典文献作了分析。Kunkhyen jamyang Shaepa(kun mkhyen'jam dbyangs bzhad pa in Tibetan)came to U-tsang as anordinary person overcoming all difficulties,and mastered in not only the common sciences but also allspecial sciences,became a master.He wrote 18 or 19 books,including the New Document of Gomang(sgomang in Tibetan)based on his own research of the literature conducted by the successive masters.HisCritical Comment of The Five Volumes of Teaching(pod Inga'i mtha'dpyod in Tibetan)is mainly has beenused as main teaching materials in Drepong Monastery,and he founded Labrang Monastery where theCritical Comment of The Five Volumes of Teaching is used as the main course for teaching.The process ofteaching,classification of classes,process of debating,documents of debating and code of monasticregulation,and the process of obtaining degrees have been determined,which in turn made the pedagogicalstructure systematic.
