论校长在院校研究发展初期的角色与作用——来自台湾地区高校的启示

摘　　要：在台湾地区高校开展院校研究的过程中,政策鼓励、现实需求驱使、高等教育治理环境要求是其高校校长参与院校研究的动力所在。部分校长在院校研究中扮演双重角色,既是决策者,又是院校研究人员,有效减少了决策者与院校研究人员之间因角色冲突、价值差异所造成的矛盾;他们深入参与院校研究,在此过程中发挥了专业分析、咨询顾问、桥梁纽带、沟通协调等作用。高校校长深度参与院校研究,是台湾地区院校研究产生初期的特殊现象,在实践中却行之有效,是院校研究领域新的成功经验。In the early development of Taiwan institutional research,presidents participated in institutional research by the policy incentives,practice demands and complex environment of higher education.Some presidents played such dual role in institutional research as a decision-maker and institutional researcher,it effectively reduced the conflicts due to the different roles;presidents played the role of professional analysis,consultant,bridging bond,and communication and coordination.The presidents deeply involved in Taiwan institutional research was a special phenomenon in the early development,but it’s effective and could be regarded as a new successful experience in the practice of institutional research.
