我国两次科学翻译高潮催生出的双语科学术语辞典

摘　　要：由于近代科学技术在我国的传播,出现了许多新的科学词汇;由于科学书籍的译者无章可循,对新词汇的译法见仁见智,各行其是,造成“一词多译”的混乱,因而引发了“名词统一”的呼声;由于名词的统一单靠行政命令还不行,还得有一个宣传和推广使用的过程,因而又促成了各类双语科学术语辞典的问世。可以说,要求科学名词译名的统一以及与之相关的科学术语辞典的编纂,乃是科学翻译的必然产物。三者相辅相成,又互为促进。Due to the spread of modern science and technology in our country,there have appeared many new scientific words.Because the translators of science books have no rules to follow,they have different opinions on the translation of new words,which leads to the confusion of"multiple translations of one word",resulting in the call of"noun unification".Because the unification of nouns can not be achieved only by administrative orders,but also by propaganda and promotion,it is contributed to the publication of various bilingual dictionaries of scientific terms.It can be said that the unification of the translated names of scientific terms and the compilation of relevant dictionaries of scientific terms are the inevitable outcome of scientific translation.The three complement and promote with each other.
