摘 要:本研究旨在调查留美中国学生的跨文化适应策略类型及其对社会心理和学习适应的影响。结果表明,留美中国学生普遍采用隔离策略,其次是融合和同化策略,只有极少数人采用边缘化策略。留学生使用边缘化策略和客居时间的长短没有相关性,与教育程度和性别有显著相关。“对中国文化的保持”与留美中国学生的跨文化社会适应呈现正相关,与学习适应呈现出负相关;“对美国文化的接受”与中国学生的跨文化心理适应和学习适应存在正相关,与社会适应呈现负相关。This study was conducted with the primary purpose to gain effects of Chinese students’acculturation strategies in the U.S on their socio-cultural,psychological and academic adaptation.The results revealed that separation was the most preferred acculturation strategy among the Chinese students,followed by integration and assimilation,and marginalization was the least desirable one.The proportion of the acculturation strategy distribution demonstrated differences between males and females and among students with different levels of education,but no difference among students with different length of stay in their acculturation strategy preference.The results also revealed that there were positive correlations between maintaining Chinese culture and socio-cultural adaptation,negative correlations between maintaining Chinese culture and academic adaptation;adopting American culture had positive correlations with psychological and academic adaptation,and negative correlations with socio-cultural adaptation.
