摘  要:1874年,麦丽芝英译《御纂朱子全书》第四十九卷"理气一",并以《儒家天体演化论》为题出版,成为朱子理学首部英文译著。但麦译的错误和臆想成分颇重,长久以来并未受到学界重视,学界对麦译的关注仍多停留在其错译的表层描述。走入错译的背后可知,这实则与其的"文明同源说"主张密切相关。因此,本文拟在分析麦丽芝这一主张的基础上,阐释其如何从"同"出发获取朱子理气论的诠释权,并分析其如何通过正文翻译和副文本撰写等手段,将"理""气"概念、理气关系,再到整个理论体系进行神化和神学化。最终,朱子理气论被塑造成了与基督教义遥相呼应的至神学说。McClatchie translated section forty-nine of the The Complete Works of Master Chu and published it titled Confucian Cosmogony in 1874 which presented itself as the first English-translated book of Zhu Xi’s Neo-Confucianism. But this translation has been largely neglected by the scholarship mainly due to its grave distortion of Zhu’s original ideas. So most studies on McClatchie’s translation just maintain at the mere fact that his translation is fraught with mistakes. However, if we probe deeper, we will know that all these mistakes are closely linked with McClatchie’s hypothesis of a common origin of human civilizations. Thus, this article will trace back to this hypothesis to see how did he claim the interpretation authority of Zhu’s theory from politics of the sameness. Then, the paper will further examine how did McClatchie theologize Zhu’s theory from the concept of Li and Qi(Li, Qi), Li-Qi relation to the whole Li-Qi system. Finally, Zhu’s Theory of Li and Qi(Li,Qi) has been shaped into a Christian counterpart-a theory of Zhishen.
