A Textual Research on the Historical Events and Time of the Han-Xiongnu War in the Early Western Han Dynasty

摘　　要：《史记》《汉书》关于西汉初年汉匈战争的几个时间节点的记载相互矛盾,这与汉武帝时期改用太初历造成记述日期换算出现差错以及文本内容撰写、流传的复杂性有关。经考证本文认为,汉高祖七年十一月前后,刘邦率领的汉朝军队为匈奴冒顿单于败于白登之围。该年十一月至十二月之间,西汉王朝开始实践第一次和亲活动。然和亲并未真正缓解汉匈局势,匈奴随之攻击代王刘仲,刘仲出逃,并于高祖八年九月废为合阳侯。高祖十年八九月之间陈豨谋反,与匈奴一同侵扰西汉王朝的北部边境,为了稳定局势,汉朝与匈奴进行了第二次和亲活动。The records of several time nodes of the Han-Xiongnu War in the early Western Han Dynasty in Shi Ji and Han Shu contradict each other,which is inconsistent with the change of the Taichu calendar during the Emperor Hanwu’s reign period.This caused errors in the conversion of the description date and the complexity of writing and spreading the text content related.Through textual research,this article believes that around the 11th month of the seventh year of the Emperor Hangaozu’s reign period,the Han Dynasty army led by Liu Bang was defeated by the Xiongnu army led by Chief Mao Dun at the Baideng Siege.Between 11th month and the 12th month of that year,the Western Han Dynasty began to practice its first peacemaking marriage activity.However,the peacemaking marriage did not really alleviate the situation between the Han and Xiongnu.The Xiongnu then attacked Dai King Liu Zhong who fled.In the ninth month of the eighth year of Emperor Hangaozu’s reign,Liu Zhong was deposed as the Duke of Heyang.In the eighth month and the ninth month of the tenth year of Emperor Hangaozu’s reign,Chen Feng rebelled and invaded the northern border of the Western Han Dynasty with the Xiongnu.In order to stabilize the situation,the Han Dynasty and the Xiongnu conducted a second peacemaking activity.
