摘　　要：在动物分类学中,规范和统一物种译名是一项重要工作。外文术语的汉译是文化交流过程,会对我国学术习惯产生影响。科技译者应树立文化自信,发挥汉语优势,以意译为主,追求科学与审美统一的中国风格译名,避免因译名不当导致负面文化效应。规范物种译名有一定原则可循,本文还就物种名的翻译实践提出了一些建议,本文还就物种名的翻译提出了一些建议。In zoological taxonomy, it is important to standardize and unify the Chinese translations of the names of different species. The process of translating foreign terminologies is a process of cultural communication and has a bearing on domestic academic conventions. Chinese translators should strengthen their cultural confidence and give full play to the advantages of Chinese language. They should make good use of the free translation strategy and produce Chinese-style translations with the unity of science and aesthetics. This will prevent any negative cultural effects due to inappropriate translations. Such a translation process has some principles to follow, and this paper also makes some suggestions on how to translate names for different species.
