摘 要:本文以32对经过等级评定的隐/明喻对为刺激语料,考察规约度和恰当性对二语隐/明喻在线加工的影响效应。对中国英语学习者受试的隐/明喻理解时间和理解难易度进行重复测量方差分析显示,规约喻句比新奇喻句加工速度更快,也更容易理解;恰当性高的喻句比恰当性低的喻句加工速度更快,也更容易理解;规约度和恰当性具有交互作用:规约度效应受恰当性高低的影响,同恰当性高的喻句相比,恰当性低的喻句更容易受规约度因素的影响。本研究表明规约度和恰当性均为调节二语隐/明喻认知加工的重要因素,两者不可偏废其一,应予以同等重视。This paper, with 32 pairs of metaphors/similes rated pairs as stimuli, sets out to investigate the effect of conven-tionality and aptness on the L2 learners’ comprehension of metaphors/similes. Repeated measures of ANOVA on the collected data demonstrates that conventional statements are comprehended much faster and easier than their novel counterparts;more apt statements are also comprehended much faster and easier than their less apt equivalents;conventionality and aptness also reveals interaction: the effect of conventionality is influenced by aptness. Compared with the high apt statements, the low apt statements are more susceptible to the influence of conventionality. Thus, conventionality and aptness are both mediators of second language metaphor/simile processing, neither of which is negligible and both deserve equal attention.
