摘  要:同伴反馈作为提高写作质量的一个重要手段,常用于英语写作教学中。但在实践中,因反馈者自身英语水平有限,反馈质量往往达不到预期效果,这时需要词典等中介工具作为“支架”,以提高同伴反馈的质量。本文以社会文化理论中的“中介工具”和“支架”两个概念为依托,以《牛津英语同义词学习词典》为例,通过对照实验的方法检验了词典作为中介工具能否发挥语言“支架”作用,进而提升同伴反馈语言质量。实验证明,虽然词典作为中介工具在提高同伴反馈质量过程中难以起到决定性的作用,但在一定程度上仍改善了实验组同伴反馈质量。As an important measure to improve the quality of English writing,peer feedback is often adopted in English writing teaching.However,the English language proficiency of the peer may adversely affect the feedback quality.When this is the case,such mediating artifacts as dictionaries are often required to serve as scaffolding.Based on the two concepts from the Social Cultural Theory and taking Oxford Learner’s Thesaurus as an example,this article probes into the role of the learner’s dictionary as a mediating artifact in raising the quality of peer feedback,and eventually,the quality of English writing via a controlled experiment.The experiment shows that,the dictionary does not play a decisive role in improving the quality of peer feedback for writing,but it does make peer feedback in the experimental group better.
