《论语》的成书及其“史传”因素

摘　　要：《论语》一书与“史传”文学的关系颇为密切。其成书过程兼具集体移时撰作、书面材料与口传材料相结合等特点,与早期“史传”作品的生成过程相似。《论语》在西汉时期曾被看作“传”,这与书中所含的通论、杂说和故事性内容有关。其名称中的“语”,是一种以记言为主,亦兼记事的著作体裁,与“史传”文体要素有不少相通之处。《论语》的“史传”文体特征主要体现在以一个人物为中心、言事相兼的叙述体制、对人物“德行”的彰显等方面。《论语》的史传文学价值主要在于较为完整、全面和准确地记述了孔子的学思历程、思想性格和精神气象。Analects of Confucius or Lunyu is closely affiliated to a literary genre called historical biography.Its creation features a collective editing process based on a combination of verbal and written materials,like the creation process of early‘historical biography’works.The Analects was regarded as a biography or zhuan during the Western Han Dynasty because of the arguments,sayings,and storytelling contained therein.The word yu in the name of the book is a genre of writings that primarily consists of a record of sayings,added by a record of events.Thus,it shares many similarities with historical biography,for instance,narratives of the words and deeds of a single character whose virtues were praised.The literary value of the Analects lies in the fact that it is a complete,comprehensive,and accurate account of Confucius′learning and thinking,characteristics and spirit.
