摘 要:龙是中华文化的象征,舞龙文化是中华文化的缩影,是全世界华人的精神寄托。赵健秀在《唐老亚》中刻画了十二岁少年唐老亚是如何从一个厌恶华裔身份的叛逆少年逐渐转变成为一名以华裔身份为荣的爱国少年。唐老亚最开始对舞龙文化的排斥反映了他对于自身华裔身份的不认同,然而在梦境中重现华裔劳工在美国修筑铁路时的艰辛,使他对舞龙文化产生了浓厚的兴趣,也由此重塑了唐老亚对自身华裔身份的认同。Dragon is a symbol of Chinese culture,and dragon dance culture the epitome of this culture and the spiritual sustenance of Chinese people all over the world.In Donald Duk,Frank Chin depicts how Donald Duk,a twelve-year-old boy,changes from a rebellious teenager who feels disgusted with his Chinese identity to a patriotic one that is proud of this identity.Donald Duk’s intolerance of dragon culture at the beginning reflects his disavowal of this Chinese identity.However,by witnessing the hardships of the Chinese laborers in the United States during the construction of the railway in his dream,he begins to take to dragon dance culture,and thus reestablishes identification with his Chinese identity.
